IA Engineer shall provide support in developing, updating and implementing Cybersecurity policies and procedures, ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Authorization processes, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Joint Staff Web and Security Policies, and DTIC policies and procedures. Perform architecture, controls, and evaluation methodology phases to support DTIC in completing the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) of it enclaves. The approach is based on the foundational guidance provided in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-37 Revision 1, Guide to Applying the RMF to Federal Information Systems and also leverages guidance from DoDI 8510.01, RMF for DoD Information Technology. The methodology synchronizes with NIST’s tiered risk management approach as defined in NIST SP 800-37.
